religion

  • How do I get the moderator to approve the groups I'm trying to make? I already tired to make 3

  • My friend is OBSESSED with religion and won't keep it to herself

So I have someone who I normally hope I can consider a friend, met her on this site actually. She is usually very normal, we can chat about mostly anything and be just fine with no arguments. But then she starts bringing up religion. Now for those of you wondering, I have NOTHING against religion and religious people, as long as they respect that they have their views, and I have mine and we don't try to change each others. We can be talking about anything at all and this 'friend' of mine will start bringing her religion into it, talking about god and how he's "so great" and the best thing ever, but then she starts insulting me by telling me that I need to be saved and "see jesus christ" because my life will be so much happier when I'm religious. She probably doesn't realise that she's being incredibly egotistical and rude when she tries to tell me that I need to convert to HER religion otherwise my life will be empty. Also, she refuses to let go of the fact that there are other religions in the world, she insists that her religion is "The one TRUE religion, all the others are just being led astray by demons and evil people who don't want them to worship the REAL god" The last thing she said was "I'm not going to give up on you until you're saved in gods arms", just... how arrogant can you be? Just because I don't follow religion I need saving? I'll end this before I get angry and start insulting people. Now this question is open for anyone to answer, religious and atheist. Do you think you can explain to this girl why it is not right to try and act like, telling me that I'm broken and "in need of saving" and that I need to convert to her religion in order to be happy, is actually helping me?
