Worry about made up thoughts

I make things up that never happened then I worry constantly about them like they are real . I suffer everyday help

This is tough. I think first you need to realize that they are just thoughts, nothing real or factual. Dismiss them, or distract yourself with something else. Everytime you feel yourself pulling closer to those thoughts, ask yourself if those thoughts are making you feel good or bad. It may not help you, but it has worked for me. Good luck.
