How do I talk to my family/friends?

How can I relate my depression and anxiety (GAD) in a way that my family/friends will understand? They're extremely supportive and helpful, but I get scared to them about it. It's hard to find the right words. Also, sometimes they offer advice or an "it's ok" type comment, which is nice, but not what I was looking for. I just want them to know me better.

You might have them try reading about it on Web MD. It is explained in very simple terms and they even go into the things you are going through. Just go to Web MD and in the little search box put in Anxiety (it will also go into panic disorders there as well).

It is a tough one. I think it's going to be hard for anyone who doesn't go through it to fully understand. I think what Lae said is a good idea. I'm glad your family and friends are supportive. :)
