Is anxiety cureable or do you have it for life and just learn to control it?

I really do not think it is "cureable". It has to do with the wiring in your brain. That is not to say you will have to be medicated your entire life, you can overcome it with therapy and retraining yourself how to think and handle situations. Bascially, you need to learn to live with it and find ways to cope which are helpful and beneficial in positive ways (ie, not use illegal drugs, abuse prescription drugs, drink alcohol, and other self destructive behaviors are not acceptable means of dealing with anxiety in a healthy way).

I don't believe it is curable either. It can be managed though and that varies by person and severity of the disorder. I strongly believe they will have a cure in our lifetime though. It is all about quality of life, accepting, and coping.

everyone has anxiety its our bodies major defense response. Unfortunately due to reasons unknown alot of us our anxiety runs in overdrive. Can it be cured? no. Can it be treated? yes. How? Therapy, we have to retrain our minds how to cope and recognize what part of the anxiety is real and needed and what part is access.

I believe that anxiety is curable. We just haven't found it yet, but it's right around the corner. 'Til then, we all must cope in the ways that work best for us.
