How can I make myself feel better?

I don't know how to deal with myself anymore... I am afraid of people, and all situations related to people. And when I get stressed, I can't get myself to go outside for days. I don't wanna involve others about it so some self helping means would be nice. :)
I have felt really down for weeks now... so some ways to make myself feel better really would be appreciated... I really don't wanna lose my year at school because I can't deal with being with people sometimes, this pressuring feeling is stressing me out and making me... aphetic. I can't even play games on my machines (which tended to make me feel better before). I just feel like nothing and being nothing. :(
It's becoming worse to.. (I have decided to meet a psychology but it won't happen before next month, and I didn't say much to my doc about it, just...) so... I need something to keep me going a while longer. If anyone can help with that I would really be thankful. :)
I am just really bad at thinking positive about anything right now. :(

Meditation techniques is always a good idea. Also, don't put so much pressure on yourself! It takes time to begin to feel better, just have patience. Also, try to surround yourself with uplifting influences (upbeat music, comedies, etc...) this also will help you feel better (at least it does for me).

Trying to relax or be positive is probably not the best thing to do. It's hard to make yourself happy or calm, so trying hard only results in frustration. You could try some relaxation techniques like abdominal breathing or progressive muscle relaxation. The point is to just let yourself "be", with no goals attached. Don't worry about "being bad" at positive thinking and most certainly don't try to force yourself to think positive. The relaxation techniques I mentioned might help you unwind and just let go of these goals.

Watch/listen to any thing funny on TV or radio. Read a funny book. Try not to think about your negative feelings to much. Hope the psychologist goes well for you.
