When I feel disconnected from everyone sometimes it is hard to take that first step and get back into my social life. Sometimes just one on one chats can be easier and more manageable. I find that real friends are understanding even if you don't go into detail, just saying that it's been a stressful and difficult time for you. When I don't want to connect with others or feel unable to, my coping strategies are to use guided meditations on YouTube and to listen to relaxing and calm music. I also use distractions such as shows and movies. I find anything that can distract my brain and get it off the anxiety track is useful. I think this might look different for each person but I think that YouTube guided meditations and self hypnosis videos are a great resource. Also sometimes I use a journal to get the thoughts and emotions out. I hope this helps and I hope others will chime in too. Much love to you all.

thanks Mythreebeans for the advice. These are really good tips that I hope people read because I do many of them and they are very effective. but, i just feel bad about the way I am just going through the motions of being friend, sister, auntie, etc. What I really want is to be left alone. but if i do that i become ruthless in forcing people out of my life and i do not want to make that mistake again. i have long since learned the value in keeping your loved ones close. I think i will just keep fighting and hope these feelings pass with time. nothing stays the same forever, including the bad things.
