One of the methods that works for me is deep breathing. You could also try doing something you like, which will keep you distracted a bit. Just keep telling yourself that it will pass, and that you'll be fine. wear a rubber band on your wrist and when you feel like you're about to start panicing pull it as far as you can and snap yourself with it. i thought it was stupid when i first was told to do it but it switches your focus from fear to the pain in your wrist which in my opinion is a much better alternative
