In my experience, depending on the oil and my level of anxiety, it can be really helpful! The oil I have does not give me much of a high, especially when I'm anxious. what it does that helps me is lower my heartrate, calm my breathing, and relax my body in general. Once my body is relaxed it becomes a lot easier to relax my mind through meditation or just by talking to myself and telling myself I'm okay. Other herbs that could compare in effect are passionflower, mugwort, lemonbalm and kava. Any of them can be bought in healthfood stores and most of them can be consumed in pill form or tea. Really nice and no chance of paranoia that cannabis could possibly give. Hope this helps!

Cbd doesn't contain the same properties as thc that actually cause you to "feel high". With cbd you will feel anxiety depression stress relief while still being able to function and work, exc as it does not cause a person to be high.
