I don't know if it's unusual but if you have an intimate partner, I've found that sex helps. Sometimes anxiety will decrease your sex drive so do things that you know will stimulate your mind in a positive manner and give in. Let yourself only feel pleasure. Also something some what unusual is to have a pen and paper on you at all times and just draw random stuff. Funny drawings or whatever comes to mind. It'll help you calm down and it'll help you put your focus onto something else. just try not to focus too hard on any one thing, That can make it worse.
