still trying to feel better

Working on taking care of myself. My Rhuematologist says I have fibromyalgia,  my gastroenterology dr says hes not sure need more tests...of course! Sheesh, so far "taking care" only helps a little. Heres what I've done: I was told by a doctor to try a gluten free diet, so am very careful with what i eat, no wheat, rye, ect. I drink only water and herbal teas no caffeine. No fried foods, no acidic foods, no carbonated beverages, no alcohol and I dont smoke. Not even chocolate :(   I take Miralax every other night, and magnesium every morning along with other vitamins, calcium ester C, b12, d3.

And still i am awakening between 2am and 4 am with sudden pain, mostly in my upper abdomen, almost feels like my heart. It makes me suck in air then my heart starts pounding. It doesnt last too long, but it takes a long while to get back to sleep. So I started taking .25 mg of alprazolam before bed and it helped alot with my anxiety after each attack but i still awaken with the same thing only not as severe.

Its driving me crazy. And a person can only afford so many tests. Several ekgs and an echo, i canceled a nuclear stress test this week because of finances and in a few weeks am doing a sleep study test at the hospital. Am so frustrated and though I may not be so young, I still feel like these things are making me feel much older and fatigued than i should.  I want to feel like I used to at least.

Feel like I'm trapped in my home, when i really want to get out and do things i need to do!
